Adjunct Professor
Dr. Allen is an Adjunct Professor of Health Policy and Management at GWSPH. His teaching and workplace interests are focused on leadership, ethics, health care administration, public health and health care policy, operational performance and examining structural and interpersonal dynamics which are key to transforming organizations into workplaces that proactively establishes itself as a place that meets its mission while simultaneously valuing and developing its workforce.

Guenevere Burke, M.D., M.B.A
Associate Professor
Dr. Burke is executive director and co-founder of the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity at the Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity in the Department of Health Policy and Management at GW. Dr. Burke is an associate professor of emergency medicine, health policy and management at GW. She is passionate about bringing people together to advance innovative solutions to complex problems, and has served on boards and committees of organizations and educational initiatives including the Atlantic Institute at Oxford University and Care Lab.

Candice Chen
Associate Professor
Dr. Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management, focused on health workforce, primary care and health professions and graduate medical education research and policy. She has both national and global expertise. Her research includes examination of the role of medical schools in addressing high priority workforce needs in primary care, underserved communities, and diversity; the role of graduate medical education in the cost practice patterns of physicians; and the status and challenges faced by medical schools in Sub-Saharan Africa.
