The online Master of Health Administration (MHA) program is designed to educate health care professionals seeking to improve health care structures across the globe. The MHA coursework and curriculum aim to build your expertise across multiple skill sets, leverage research to positively affect diverse populations and prepare you for an executive role in health care administration.
The program features a multidisciplinary curriculum that concentrates on core principles of health care management, health economics, financial leadership and policy.

Online course content is delivered through a virtual classroom that features a suite of tools curated to enhance learning and communication. While all courses are delivered online, you are required to attend three immersions on GW’s Washington, D.C., campus and one immersion at an off-campus health organization.
During the immersions, MHA students benefit from meeting classmates and professors in person, delving into authentic case studies and networking with health administration leaders. The MHA@GW program is designed and taught by the same faculty that lead our on-campus program. Faculty members include highly qualified and experienced practitioners who are heavily involved in health policy in Washington, D.C. Our expert faculty have conducted research in areas such as financial leadership, public health disaster response and organizational mechanisms. They have worked for organizations such as the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the National Institutes of Health.
